Health Plan of Nevada (HPN, HMO Option 1)
- As an HMO
the plan has low
co-pays and no deductible to meet. There is a 12 month waiting
period for maternity coverage.
Health Plan of Nevada (HPN, POS Option 3) - As an HMO the plan has low co-pays and no deductible to meet. There is a 12 month waiting period for maternity coverage. This plan has both HMO and PPO features.
Group Health Insurance - There are many advantages of a group plan when considering maternity. Often the plan will provide maternity benefits with no waiting period. Small business owners have many options and possibly tax incentives. (see also; Disability Insurance for maternity)
Individual Plans - Though you wont have 'maternity coverage' with most individual plans there may be benefits by having coverage and possibly saving money. In some situations maternity benefits may apply.
Government Support - There are government sponsored or directed plans that might be of help. Not everyone qualifies.
Guaranteed Issue Policy - These plans offer coverage for those who are pregnant or looking to become pregnant. These plans are mostly referred to as limited medical plans so its important to make sure the plans fit your needs before you buy.
